A round of applause for Alexandera Houchin, who just won the 2019 Colorado Trail Race women’s category on her trusty singlespeed Chumba Stella. Find details about her time and photos from the finish line here…
Alexandera Houchin has done it again! And we’d like to be among the first to congratulate her on another incredible finish. Just hours ago, she rolled off the Colorado Trail and into Denver’s Waterton Canyon, making her the women’s winner of the 2019 Colorado Trail Race, having pedaled 525 miles in 6 days, 1 hour, and 34 minues (6:01:34) … on a singlespeed, no less.
Her win on the Colorado Trail Race comes exactly a month after she set the new women’s singlespeed record on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, finishing in 18 days, 20 hours, and 26 minutes (18:20:26). The 29-year-old from Cloquet, Minnesota, has been garnering lots of well-deserved attention as she humbly sets records and chalks up race wins.
Job well done, Alexandera. We’re all looking forward to seeing what you get up to next.
Special thanks to photographer Kody Gibson (@gibsonnotguitar) for being on the scene and sending these photos our way.
