British bikepacking bag maker Apidura just launched an online frame pack fitting tool that allows you to upload your bike photo, scale it based on a wheel size guide, and see their bags on your bike. See it in action here…

Apidura just released a new interactive application that allows you to virtually “try on” their various frame packs on your bike. With a lineup that includes five universal frame packs in a variety of volumetric sizes, this tool is incredibly helpful for comparing different pack styles and sizes to find one that fits. We tried it with a photograph of the Kona Sutra LTD and it worked quite well. Scroll down for details.

The initial steps prompt you to select your wheel size and upload a photo.

The second step requires you to align the yellow wheel size guide with your bike rim. You simply scale your image by placing the yellow circle over where the wheel rim meets the tire. The more accurately you align the yellow circle with the outside edge of your wheel rim, the more accurate the pack recommendations will be.

Third, you can choose various frame packs to try, toggle through different sizes, and rotate it to your frame triangle.

Once you’ve finished, it shows a clear photo with the bag.

In addition to the virtual fitting tool, you can also select your bike model from their list of options for a fit grid, complete with printable templates. However, the virtual fitting tool is much more sophisticated, and it’s nice to be able to actually see how the bags work with the shape of your bike’s triangle.
