Introduced in 2020, the Apidura Packable Backpack and Musette were specifically built for unsupported, ultra-distance cycling, where riders manage late-night resupplies, carry extra food and fuel on certain stretches, and still try to keep weight and bags to a minimum. Apidura just announced that they refreshed both with tougher, water-resistant Cordura ripstop, using a tighter weave for better durability and strength. This move also makes them now part of a fully PFA-free supply chain. Both add lighter, lower-profile daisy-chain sternum straps with cord hooks for a better fit, plus reflective webbing; the backpack also gets reflective side panels.
