Aimed at the ultra-racing crowd, Apidura just released the new Racing Aerobar Pack, which is specifically designed to work with aerobars and offers 2.5L of additional storage space in a low-profile package. Learn more here…
UK-based Apidura just announced what they say is the “first streamlined handlebar bag designed specifically for aerobars and the demands of ultra-distance cycling competition and audax.” Designed to mount securely underneath aerobars, the new low-profile Apidura Racing Aerobar Pack offers 2.5L of waterproof internal storage capacity, as well as external elastic bungee cords for securing lightweight quick-access items (such as snacks or a rain jacket) to the top side of the bag. When rolled closed, there are reflective accents and front-facing attachment points for items such as a light.
Constructed from technical Hexalon fabric, the Apidura Racing Aerobar Pack weighs in at just 150g. It has a 9.5cm height, 11cm width, and 22-26cm length, depending on how tightly it’s rolled. An HDPE structure helps the bag maintain its shape and Hypalon-reinforced straps and attachment points help increase durability. Customizable attachment points ensure compatibility with nearly any aerobars on the market.
Addressing their racing-minded design intentions for the new pack, Apidura general manager George Huxford said, “A streamlined, aero bar-optimized pack has been on our to-do list almost since the Racing Series first launched. This is the culmination of years of feedback and development, finding the perfect balance between capacity and a minimal front profile. The result is an extremely sleek bag with enough capacity to add serious versatility to a race setup without slowing a rider down or becoming heavy enough to ruin their bike’s handling. We can’t wait to see it join the rest of the Racing Series on the podiums of ultra-cycling events over the coming years!”
The new 2.5L Apidura Racing Aerobar Pack is priced at $115 USD (£84/€96) and is available now. Head over to Apidura.com to find additional details, videos, and to purchase one of your own.
