BMX legend Taj Mihelich’s new children’s book, Ban the Fan, is a playful story about empathy and perspective. In it, the main character, Giraffe, cheerfully manages the Creative Department. All is well until a run-in with the office ceiling fan leads Giraffe to start a crusade to shut it off—only to realize his friends aren’t as thrilled as he is. Determined to understand why, he tries (sometimes imperfectly, often comically) to see the world from their point of view, discovering how perspective-taking can add happiness for everyone. Set in the same world as his previous book, Bernie the Bike Builder, and introduced by Bernie, Ban the Fan is available today.
