The Bikepack Racing Podcast dropped its first three episodes this week, and you can listen to the new show from hosts Ezra Ward-Packard and Andrew Onermaa here…

The latest bikepacking-themed podcast to hit the airwaves is the new Bikepack Racing Podcast. Unlike other bikepacking and bike adventure podcasts, the Bikepack Racing Podcast will focus heavily on the racing side of bikepacking. Hosts Ezra Ward-Packard and Andrew Onermaa are no strangers to ultra-endurance racing and bikepacking, and as they put it, the podcast is “dedicated to the pointy end of bikepack racing.”

Future episodes will include discussion on the latest bikepacking races, news, and hot topics, and will incorporate guests to share their perspectives from recent races. The show will predominantly focus on races in the United States, as the hosts are far more familiar with the US racing scene and players. Find the first three episodes below.

Episode 1: This is the Bikepack Racing Podcast

“In this first episode, Ezra Ward-Packard and Andrew Onermaa sit down for a brief conversation about what this podcast is actually going to be about. It’s short and it’s a bit clunky at times, but it does what it needs to do. Just like in bikepack racing… sometimes the hardest part is getting started!”

Episode 2: Meet The Hosts Part 1 — Ezra Ward-Packard

“In Part 1 of ‘Meet the Hosts,’ Andrew is asking the questions as Ezra tries to string together some coherent answers. The topics range from living and dating in a van, potentially being the highest paid Cat 3 “semi” professional cyclist ever, the transition from the road racing to gravel and bikepack racing, and Ezra’s ambitions for the Tour Divide.”

Episode 3: Meet The Hosts Part 2 — Andrew Onermaa

“The tables have turned for Part 2 of ‘Meet the Hosts’ as Ezra grills Andrew with the hard-hitting questions the people want to know. Topics of discussion include, but are not limited to: an early love of basketball, years spent soul searching in the mountains out west and in Alaska, how Andrew went from riding less than 1,000 miles a year to over 12,000, thoughts and feelings about his epic battle with Ted King at the Arkansas High Country Race in 2020, and so much more.”

Episodes 1, 2, and 3 of The Bikepack Racing Podcast (embedded above) are currently available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts, with more platforms and episodes on the way. Follow the podcast along on Instagram (@thebikepackracingpodcast).
