In an attempt to prove that any old bike can be a bikepacking bike, Tim Atwood found a way-too-small kids bike in the dump and set off on an overnight bikepacking trip. Watch the video he put together here…

“The best bikepacking bike is the one you already own” is something we generally think is true, and it’s a piece of advice we’ve long given out to folks interested in giving bikepacking a try. Tim Atwood in Australia took this concept to a whole new level and decided to test it out for himself.

After finding a small kids bike in the dump, he put together a rear rack, cargo and bottle cages, and set off on a quick overnight bikepacking trip. Despite unfavourable weather, Tim managed to carve out a unique adventure for himself and certainly proved his point. Watch his 20-minute video below.
