In his latest video, Chris Wilson and his riding buddy Rob Parker kick off their 2025 bikepacking season with a weekend loop through the scenic landscapes of White Salmon, Washington, dubbed the “Salmon Klick Circuit.” Watch it here…
Faced with early-season route planning challenges due to lingering snow at higher elevations, Chris Wilson pieces together a mix of known and new tracks using Ride With GPS and invites his riding buddy Rob along for the ride. The route begins with a steep climb up Hospital Hill, offering sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge and vibrant spring wildflowers. The duo navigates a mix of singletrack and gravel, taking in iconic tracks like the Klickitat River Trail. Along the way, they deal with minor mechanical issues, strong winds, fishing fails, and a campsite relocation—all delivered with their usual lighthearted commentary and camaraderie. Despite a few route hiccups and one off-limits area that forces a detour, this video serves as another excellent reminder of the value that these smaller, local overnight trips provide. Watch it below and find a few more of Chris’ videos linked in the Further Reading grid.
