The Amani Project aims to change the face of cycling by increasing participation and providing opportunities for East African athletes to compete at home and all around the globe. In support of the foundation’s work and as a sponsor of the Migration Gravel Race, a first of its kind event in East Africa, Brooks has released a limited edition saddle to help raise additional funds for the Amani Foundation.
“The aim is to foster a cycling culture among the Maasai people, by bringing workshops with existing Kenyan competitors – the top domestic riders from the MGR – into local schools, to inspire and proselytise for a life of professional cycling. This is a project 100% supported by Brooks England.”
The C17 Migration Gravel Race saddle comes with three exclusive printed photographs taken during the 2021 event, shot on film and hand-developed by Kenyan photographer, Robert Kiplagat. Each set of three photos will be totally unique, owned only by the purchaser and never reprinted. The saddle costs $150 USD and a portion of the proceeds will be directed to the Amani Foundation.
