Brother Cycles and The Woods Cyclery in the UK just put together a video that documents the build of a prototype 650B cantilever-equipped Mr Wooden and its first ride around the New Forest’s beautiful tracks and trails. Watch it here…

We love a good build video, and the crew at The Woods Cyclery in England’s New Forest has shot some of our favorites to date. For their latest release, they teamed up with Brother Cycles to document the build of a prototype 650B canti-equipped Mr Wooden for our friend Tom Farrell, the co-owner of the shop, who was instrumental in developing the bike. You can check out a behind-the-scenes view of the build and its lovely hodgepodge of old and new bits below, as well as some dreamy riding shots from Tom’s first spins aboard his freshly finished Mr Wooden.

Describing his new rig, Tom said, “The skinny steel tubing makes Mr Wooden light and zippy on the tarmac and surprisingly capable when you venture off-road. It’s a modern take on the classic randonneur. So, load it up for some light touring or keep it stripped back for an extremely capable all-road bike that feels as good as it looks!”

Brother Cycles will be launching a pre-order for the new model later this year, with the first batch expected to arrive in spring of next year. We still don’t have pricing or geometry details, but we’ll be sure to share them as soon as they’re available. For now, check out the teaser post linked below, which offers a little more insight into Tom’s build.
