Craig Lambard recently released a new video documenting the process of building the Stayer Cycles Bespoked apocalypse bike. For more on this unique build, read on below…

In the latest video on the 2nd Life Bikes YouTube channel, Craig Lambard shows the process of building the Stayer Cycles Bespoked apocalypse bike. In case you missed it, builders were encouraged to join in the show’s apocalypse-themed build-off earlier this year at Bespoked UK. With so many builders taking different approaches and directions with their builds, Stayer decided on a cargo e-bike consistent with some of the conversions they’ve specialized in over the past few years.

Luckily, I was there to document the build in all its glory. While you can check out the original coverage here, Craig’s new video, Kona Kilauea 90s DIY Cargo Bike Conversion, focuses on the process of creating this unique build. Taking an old Kona Kilauea, the team at Stayer ended up making a fat-tire cargo machine that didn’t quite function at the show. That said, it served as a basis of experimentation for some future products and ideas that the shop is excited about moving forward. It’s a cool, in-depth video that shows the real-life process of a small brand consistently trying to do something unique in a saturated space.
