Bumbinos is a new spin-off from Swedish brand Ass Savers, drawing on more than 15 years of experience to create colorful, imaginative mudguards and other accessories for kids’ bikes. Take a peek at their debut range of more than a dozen playful designs here…
Following more than five years of behind-the-scenes development, Gothenburg, Sweden’s Bumbinos officially launched earlier this month, debuting with around a dozen clever mudguards designed to fit kids’ bikes. An offshoot of the longtime mudguard manufacturers at Ass Savers, Bumbinos harnesses everything they’ve learned in a decade and a half and wraps it in a characterful package intended to help the next generation of riders get out and pedal, no matter the weather.
Sold in “Splash Packs” of two, the new mudguards are available in 14-16” and 18-20” sizes to suit a broad range of pint-sized bikes piloted by riders aged roughly 3-9. They’re super easy to assemble and install in just a few steps. As parents themselves, the small Bumbinos team believes that, beyond adding function, the fun designs will help kids connect with their bikes, adding, “If a bike becomes part of a child’s play, it is used more often. If it is used more often, riding becomes second nature. And if riding becomes second nature, some of those children will keep riding.”
Mudguards cost $46 per set, including hardware and a matching sticker pack, and replacement blades and mounts are available. Bumbinos also offers musettes, T-shirts, and cycling caps, with more accessories expected down the road. All mudguards are manufactured in and shipped from Sweden.
