The new Unirack from Manivelle in Strasbourg, France, is a seatpost-mounted bag support that they say is stronger than anything else on the market and provides generous freedom of movement. Find more details and a link to pre-order one here…

First teased as part of our coverage of last year’s Concours de Machines in France, Strasbourg-based Manivelle (@cyclesmanivelle) just announced that they’ll be manufacturing a small batch of their Unirack, a handcrafted seatpost-mounted rear rack designed with off-road riding in mind. They say it’s stronger than any other saddlebag support on the market and that its design gives riders more freedom of movement because it pushes the rear bag further back than other saddle and seatpost-mounted supports.

Constructed from silver brazed stainless steel with a 3D-printed mounting adaptor kit, the 450-gram Unirack is adaptable to fit seatposts with 27.2 or 31.6mm diameters. It was originally designed around the Shazam! saddlebag from Wizard Works in London, but Manivelle says it’s compatible with most similar bags, including the Swift Zeitgeist and Catalyst and the Helmut Werewolf. Pre-orders are open as of today and will close on Friday, February 17th.
