For our 206th Collective Reward, we’re giving away Pista Plus and Terra floor pumps from our friends at SILCA to two randomly selected Bikepacking Collective members. Learn more about these excellent pumps and sign up for a chance to win here…
I’ve owned three floor pumps over the last decade, all of which suddenly died for one reason or another. On the hunt for reliable, repairable, accurate, and simple floor pumps, I came across SILCA’s range. I’ve been using the Terra and Pista Plus, and I’ve been quite impressed by both. To continue this round of excellent prizes for the members who make our work possible, we’ll be selecting two Bikepacking Collective members at random to give away one of each. Read on for more on these pumps and how to get signed up.
In 1988, SILCA introduced the original Terra pump, the first high-volume, low-pressure pump designed specifically for the emerging MTB market. Thirty-four years later, SILCA reimagined the Terra, integrating new tech for refined low-pressure precision and high-pressure capabilities. The latest Terra pump features a non-linear gauge scale that delivers 0.5 psi precision at low pressures and 2 psi precision up to 120 psi. Half of the gauge face is dedicated to the 0-30 psi range, ensuring accuracy (and visibility) for larger-volume tires.

The Terra has an all-metal construction, a lathe-turned ash wood handle, and a unique lever-operated chuck inspired by the Tattico mini pump. The reversible chuck easily switches between Presta and Schrader valves, includes an inline pressure bleed button, and delivers 318 cubic centimeters of air per stroke. According to SILCA, the Pista Plus floor pump is designed to outlast all your cycling gear, featuring a durable steel barrel, a 3mm-thick leather plunger piston, and SILCA’s proprietary brass air bridge and check-valve assembly for exceptional longevity. Its smaller-diameter barrel, combined with the classic 28mm 731 model Italian leather piston gasket and self-lubricating linear bearings, delivers efficient pumping and easily reaches pressures up to 120 psi.
The Pista Plus boasts a sturdy three-footed aluminum base, a full-size lathe-turned ash handle, and a chuck dock that secures the chuck at the upgraded Schrader chuck. The large 64mm gauge, with a modern multi-color design, offers 2% accuracy and is optimized for contemporary tire pressures. Learn more about the Pista Plus here.
