Last month, the family team at Randi Jo Fabrications in Oregon announced a handful of new colors of their lovely waxed canvas Portage Hip Packs, and today, we’re excited to give one away to a randomly selected member of the Bikepacking Collective, a $125 value for our winner. Ideally sized for carrying a DSLR camera and a light layer, the 11” wide by 5’5” deep Randi Jo Portage Hip Pack has a low-profile, no-fuss design that’s free of bulky pockets, unnecessary hardware, or flapping straps. The Portage features an expandable roll-top with snap and Fidlock magnetic buckle closures, a wide 1 1/2″ webbing waist strap with two adjustment points, MOLLE rear webbing for attaching to the handlebars, a hidden back pocket to stow straps when using as a bar bag, and interior and exterior zippered pockets. As of last month, the roll-top has been updated with a more durable 7-ounce sailcloth fabric, and the rest of the bag is constructed from 10.10-ounce canvas with a diamond-ripstop-coated lining with 1/8″ closed-cell foam insulation.

Weighing around 12.8 ounces, the Randi Jo Portage Hip Pack will fit up to a 40-inch waist (custom sizes are available) and currently comes in five colorways: Junior Khaki Scout, Richie Tenenbaum, Zissou, Mr. Fox, and Black. You can find more photos and details over at RandiJoFab.com.
