Collective Reward #248: Old Man Mountain Manzanita Cradles

Based on Salsa’s Anything Cradle, the Old Man Mountain Manzanita is a modular cargo system with two bag options, designed to hold a bag just off the front of drop or flat handlebars for quick, secure, easy-access storage. The Manzanita is a feature-rich, thoughtful reinterpretation of a classic—the Anything Cradle, originally developed by Salsa Cycles—and we’re glad to give away a pair today. In short, the Manzanita Cradle is a bracket-mounted, rigid handlebar cradle built for all riding conditions. The ultra-stable cradle pairs with a matching 9-liter top-loading or 11-liter side-loading dry bag and provides generous unobstructed mounting options for lights, computers, trackers, and whatever else. It’s compatible with all bikes with 31.8 or 35mm bars, and the aluminum arms mount to a nylon cradle that can slide about 45mm to adjust the system’s angle, secured with four bolts and a sliding bracket, ensuring an optimal fit.

Neil reviewed the Manzanita this spring, and he found the fully waterproof system to be rock-solid, durable, and easy to use, noting that the top-loading bag was a highlight that worked well with drops and flats and was easy to load on the bike and handy to tote around when off it.
