The COROS Nomad is an activity watch looking to serve anglers, cyclists, runners, and anyone with an active lifestyle. Boasting 22 days of functional battery life, turn-by-turn mapping, a multitude of activity tracking modes, and more, the COROS Nomad promises a ton of useful features…
The new COROS Nomad is a sport watch from the Chinese manufacturer jam-packed with features befitting any active lifestyle. With ample activity tracking modes, environmental information, map functionality, and a battery life consistent with other COROS products, the Nomad is the kind of do-everything watch that covers all the bases. With 22 days of estimated battery range during normal functionality, the watch monitors heart rate and sleep data with limited drain on battery, while also offering typical sport watch features like lap timing, a digital compass, fitness tests, and up-to-date weather information.

Sitting at 47.8 x 47.8 x 16.4mm in size and somewhere between 41 and 68 grams depending on band choice, the COROS Nomad has a touch screen, physical bezel, and two other interactive buttons. With 5 ATM of waterproofing, the ability to pair to multiple heart rate, music, and camera devices, it has a variety of features that go beyond your typical sports-focused watch. The mapping features appear to display greater detail than what’s been on offer before, including the ability to mark custom waypoints on course or during normal function that denote points of interest. The COROS Nomad requires its own charging plug-in that’s included with the watch, but one that utilizes the relatively universal USB-C interface for power.
As with many other products in the category, the Nomad requires the use of a smartphone app, which extends the mapping and tracking features of the watch through detailed activity and health information analysis. Retailing at $350 USD, the Nomad is offered in three distinct colors: black, green, and brown. Neil and I are currently testing the COROS Nomad’s application as a bikepacking companion and will have full-length reviews after we’ve made sure to push the watch to its limits.
