In his latest short video, Deane Parker shares a look at a creative overnight bikepacking trip in New Zealand that incorporates a chairlift ride, a ferry crossing, and a night in a beautiful mountain home. Watch it here…

Deane Parker’s latest video captures a unique two-day bikepacking trip around New Zealand’s South Island with his riding partner, Rose, and is guaranteed to inspire some wanderlust. Beginning with a leisurely chairlift ride up to the top of the Christchurch Adventure Park, they take in some of the area’s singletrack trails and back roads through the stunning volcanic landscape around Lyttelton Harbour on the Banks Peninsula.

Following a ferry ride, some big climbs, and a night in a mountain home, they make their way past several historical landmarks and eventually ride back down through the Adventure Park in Christchurch, celebrating the end of their trip with pizza and beer. It looks like a perfect overnighter with a little bit of everything mixed in, set in what’s surely one of the most beautiful bikepacking destinations in the world.
