The new Crumbworks Carter Bar, made by NITTO in Japan, features a cruisy 25° backsweep but has zero rise, making it suitable for bikes with a comfortable cockpit height. Learn more about the Carter Bar here…
Crumbworks in Japan, the folks behind the stunning and super swoopy Chunk I reviewed last year, have been ramping up their house-branded parts made in collaboration with talented builders. Earlier this year, they teased a new all-road frame, and just last week, they released a new handlebar, the Carter Bar!

The Crumbworks Carter Bar is a wide flat bar with a generous 25° of backsweep. It’s made from heat-treated aluminum, uses an old-school 25.4mm clamp size, and is made by NITTO in Japan. It comes in one 750mm width option and has zero rise, making it ideal for vintage mountain bikes, anything running an adjustable quill stem, or any bike that already has a comfortable cockpit position that doesn’t require additional rise.

The Carter Bar weighs 320 grams (11.2 ounces) and is available now, but quantities are limited for this first production run. It’s available in silver or black, costs ¥13,200 (~$90 USD), and ships from Japan.
