Stan’s teamed up with the innovative engineers at Daysaver in Switzerland to develop a sleek switchblade-esque tubeless plugger tool that stores inside the handlebar. Learn about the Daysaver x Stan’s Incredible DART here…
Having seen the prototype in person at Daysaver’s booth at Eurobike, I was curious when this would be announced. The Incredible DART incorporates Stan’s Dart plugger with the clever innovation of the folks at Daysaver. It’s designed to be stored in a handlebar (with the Stan’s Incredible Handlebar Mount, sold separately) or kept in a pocket or backpack. When needed, its spring-loaded arm quickly deploys the familiar DART head to create a durable seal to stop up large tire punctures.
For those unfamiliar, the Dual Action Repair for Tubeless (DART) plug system was developed by Stan’s NoTubes in effort to make repairing large punctures and cuts in tubeless tires faster, easier, and more reliable than standard tire plugs. Unlike traditional plugs that press rubber strips into a puncture, the dual-action DART creates both a mechanical and chemical seal. When inserted, the DART anchors securely within the puncture and creates a chemical reaction with Stan’s sealant via their patent-pending latex reaction technology to form a lasting airtight bond.
The Incredible DART tubeless repair tool comes in compostable packaging and includes three refillable DART heads. Here’s the feature set from Stan’s:
- Lightweight, precision-engineered in Switzerland, designed for quick and reliable tubeless tire repair
- Includes 3 DART heads
- Compatible with Daysaver’s modular Incredible tool ecosystem
- Incredible DART Handlebar Mount sold separately
- Made from 6061-T6 alloy
- Color: silver with laser-etched logos
- Manufactured in Taiwan
The Stan’s Incredible DART Tubeless Repair Tool retails for $72, and the Handlebar Mount sells for an additional $34. Learn more over at Stans.com.
