Topo Designs recently dropped into the Fort Collins, Colorado, workshop of Bender Bicycles to get to know owner, designer, and builder Will Bender and document his process for a short video. The crew from Topo Designs spent recent a day with Fort Collins, Colorado-based frame builder Will Bender of Bender Bicycles, who showed off a few of his handbuilt steel bikes and the story of how riding, restoring, and fabricating bikes became a central part of his life. I had the chance to meet Will and see a few of his bikes last year, and they’re beautifully made.

In just two and a half minutes, this first installment of what we hope will become a Dirt Makers series offers a glimpse at Will’s process and shares a little insight into what motivates his work. Watch the video by Adam Concannon below, followed by a handful of still photos from his visit.
