California-based District Vision just released a handmade custom titanium touring bike to coincide with their cycling apparel launch, and it could be yours for a cool $30,000. Learn more about the astronomically priced rig and its matching set of bags here…
Founded by Tom Daly and Max Vallot in 2016, District Vision is an athletic apparel brand that believes in a “holistic approach to athleticism and the idea that mental wellbeing is the foundation of every form of physical exercise.” One of their first products was the Keiichi running sunglass system, and they’ve since expanded their lineup to include cycling apparel, accessories, and as of today, a custom titanium touring bike, which we spotted in the Instagram story of our friend Aaron at Aarn Bicycle Components (@aarn_).
The District Vision custom titanium bicycle frame was handmade in in Japan by Yoshi Nishikawa of Kualis Cycles, alongside a custom fillet-brazed steel adventure fork and titanium stem. It’s designed around 650b wheels, disc brakes, an eTap groupset, a carbon fiber seatpost insert, integrated spare spoke holder, and is offered in a single 55cm size. The bike also includes custom bags by Yanco in Los Angeles, California, which are constructed from a combination of Dyneema, Corudra, and X-Pac. The frame and fork were painted by painted and etched by Black Magic Paint in Oregon, and it was the last complete build from Golden Saddle Cyclery, which recently closed its doors.
This is surely one of the most excessive products we’ve shared on the site, and is certainly not how we’d choose to spend $30,000 if we found a sack full of money, but it caught our eye nonetheless. You can find the full build kit and more at DistrictVision.com.
