DT Swiss just announced an alloy version of the interesting “upside down” D 232 dropper post, the sibling model of the pricey carbon D 232 ONE Dropper Post. Like the D 232 ONE, the D 232 alloy offers 60mm travel and a fully mechanical system that’s touted to be reliable and easy to maintain. Most interesting, the D 232 offers the prospect of mounting a bikepacking seatpost strap without the use of a Wolf Tooth Valais, ensuring full use of the dropper’s travel. The alloy D 232 is $180 cheaper than the ONE model and is made of aluminum, which means that it weighs 60 grams more than the carbon version. Find specs below…
