San Francisco-based DZR has announced some new shoes for spring 2020, including the S24O—a mid top clipless cycling shoe with some understated technical features. Find the details and photos here…
DZR believes in cycling shoes that are ideal for both on and off the bike, including clipless compatible shoes that don’t sacrifice overall performance. Although their new offering, the S24O, isn’t a shoe that would normally catch our attention, it was hard to ignore the name—for those unaware, S24O is the acronym for sub-24-hour overnighter bikepacking trips. We’ll let you decide. The S24O was previously released as a limited edition model, but immediately sold out, and is now back in two new colours. DZR’s recessed cleat makes hopping off the bike easy, and the upper is constructed from a lightweight leather that’s is tough, breathable, and designed to break in nicely over time.
The S24O features a full nylon shank, with mapped stiffness for efficient pedalling and walking. An elastic lace catch keeps the laces tucked away, and a high-viz reflective badge on the heel of the shoe helps with visibility in low light conditions.
