Fairlight’s latest gravel bike, the Secan 3.0, is now offered in a new Iridescent Root Beer color. Replacing the Plum color the bike launched with, this paint scheme is the brand’s premium option. For more on this color, find details below…

In addition to their standard paints, Fairlight has offered a special, limited-edition paint scheme on their flagship models when possible. The Secan 3.0 launched with a beautiful Plum Nic reviewed last year, and the brand has now replaced it with another glittering paint job, Iridescent Root Beer.

Per Dom Thomas of Fairlight, the color requires an extremely high-end paint and application process. With 10 layers, the iridescent quality results from a hand-sprayed, emery-clothed process between each layer. Dom says, “The iridescent crystals catch the light from different angles, creating a true flip-paint effect: shifting from cherry, to copper/bronze, to a warm yellow glow. It is inspired by custom hot rods.”
