The all-new Fairlight Secan 3.0 boasts a variety of updates that only add to this endlessly versatile bike’s capability. Featuring new chain and seat stays, a modular dropout design, a rack-compatible carbon fork, and much more, the additions and changes to the new Fairlight Secan 3.0 are far from minor…
Always looking to improve on their already stellar designs, London-based Fairlight Cycles is back with the all-new Fairlight Secan 3.0! Intent on modernizing and improving upon the prior Secan, the 3.0 adds a variety of new features fans of the earlier iteration are bound to love. Aside from some great new colors, the changes to the the Secan include new chain and seat stays, increased tyre clearance (700 x 53mm and up to 62mm in 650B/27.5″), and a removable cable stop that allows users to install mechanical or electronic drivetrains with ease. There’s also a new Cempa 3.0 fork that allows for up to 180mm rotors. The new fork is also rando rack compatible, with an insert bonded into the crown. In addition to its added load capacity, the side cage mounts have been raised by 0.5mm to provide a raised surface for cages and rack legs.

Designed in-house, the new Fairlight Secan 3.0’s downtube brake hose clips are now CNC-machined modular parts. The bike is also dropper post compatible for 1x setups with a dropper exit port on the back of the seat tube. Geometry wise, there are some small tweaks with the chainstay length increasing by 2mm (430mm to 432mm), head angles slackening by 0.5-0.75 degrees, and stack and reach remaining largely unchanged. The new Fairlight Secan 3.0 also has a new data-engineered top tube pattern. Inspired by mid-century poster art, it’s a seamless design made to look different from every viewing angle.

Made of custom 853 Reynolds tubing, the new Fairlight Secan 3.0 is available as both a frameset or a full build and comes in four distinct colors: Burnt Orange, Pearlescent Blue, Desert, and Iridescent Plum. Frames start at £1,245 ($1,590 USD), and builds featuring a mix of Shimano GRX 1x and 2x start at £2,225 ($2,840 USD).

Digging through Fairlight’s detailed press packet, it’s evident how much attention and care they put into these products. With updates to accommodate just about every wish or need, its seems the new Fairlight Secan 3.0 is a bike that’ll be hard-pressed to find itself out of place in any context.
