The new Farr Chromo Rigid Fork features retro styling, boost hub spacing, clearance for 29 x 3″ tires, and quadruple fork leg mounts. Find all the details here…
The Farr Chromo Rigid Fork is the latest addition to our growing list of utility forks (forks with mounts), suitable for your next 29″ monstercross or rigid mountain bike build. The fork is constructed from oversized 31.8mm chromoly steel blades, uses a tapered steerer tube, and has boost 15 x 110mm thru-axle spacing.
Farr says their new fork “blends old-school styling with new-school updates,” which sounds about right considering the quad-pack mounts on the fork legs, huge tire clearance, and ISO brakes mounts. The 483mm axle-to-crown length means the Rigid Chromo Fork is a great substitute for short travel 100mm suspension forks or for gravel bikes that require massive tire clearance. Find additional specs below.
- Hub Spacing: 110mm
- Axle to crown: 483mm
- Fork Offset: 50mm
- Inner Width: 90mm
- Tire Clearance: 29 x 3.1″ (80mm)
- Steerer Length: 300mm
- Weight: 1390g (with 190mm steerer tube)
Although they haven’t ordered them from the manufacturer yet, Farr is considering a Neon Yellow (pictured above) version of the fork if there is enough interest—there seems to be a few sample versions for sale on their website. Right now the Farr Rigid Chromo Fork is only offered in matte black and retails for $145 USD, including a thru-axle. You can order one from RideFarr.com.
