Bits & Bobs
New products that are worth highlighting but didn’t make the Dispatch…
Paul Smith Brooks Cambium Saddle
Made in England / €255 at Brooks England
The C17 Paul Smith combines his Signature Stripe pattern, a hallmark of the British designer’s work, with the comfort and performance properties of the popular all-terrain saddle. Paul Smith is a lifelong cyclist, and this creative collaboration sees his style applied to a bike component for the first time in his storied career.
Rodeo Labs Explorts Fleece Tights and Ad Astra Jersey
$107+ at Rodeo Labs
In an effort to make a pair of stretchy bibs for when the temperatures go below freezing, these space-themed full length bibs are the result of more than a few iterations. Following in the footsteps of their Explorts 3.0 bibshorts, Rodeo Labs says these fleece-lined tights are ideal for riding in temperatures between 25 and 50 degrees. Alongside their release, the Denver-based brand has also come out with a new version of their blended Merino wool Lamb Transport jersey. With a cool space theme, this jersey has the unique ability to host two velcro patches on the sleeve.
“Poop-moji” Pouch by Space Bear Bags
Made in USA / $22 at Garage Grown Gear
We love pouches, and if you’re looking for a lightweight option for your poop kit, this pouch is made from Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) and visual cues so you know exactly which bag it is when digging through your kit.
Wolf Tooth x Stinner Frameworks
Made in USA / $2,300+ at Stinner
Following their move to a larger shop and increased production, Stinner Frameworks has partnered with Wolf Tooth Components to bring high-quality, domestically manufactured parts to Stinner Select and Podium Series bikes. The partnership allows customers to select Wolf Tooth parts for their build directly through Stinner’s website, making color-coordinated upgrades simple.
SimWorks x Honjo Turtle 63 26″ Fender
Made in Japan / $140 at SimWorks
SimWorks and Honjo have started offering their popular Turtle 63 profile in a 26″ fender size. Proven to be favorite for riders running tires in that 48-50mm range, the Turtle 63s don’t wrap quite as deeply as their smooth profile fenders like the Smooth 62, so you can get away with a little more tire capacity and/or the option to run a knobbier tire.
Espresso Chocolate Bar
$2.30 at Garage Grown Gear
A lot of folks use caffeine tabs or cold coffee when “touring with a sense of urgency.” However, this looks much more satisfying. If anybody has tried these, leave us a note!
Cane Creek Colored Stem Faceplates
$20 at Cane Creek
These colorful faceplates are ready to bolt on to Cane Creek eeSilk and GXC stems. Featuring five anodized options in all of Cane Creek’s current Chroma Studio colors, these faceplates are also compatible with the Cane Creek Computer Mount.
