British Columbia-based bag maker HMPL just released a brand new basket bag that comes in three sizes to fit the Wald 137, Wald 139, and Pelago Rasket. Find all the details on today’s pre-order launch here…
Vancouver’s HMPL is excited to finally launch a lineup of basket bags sized specifically for three of the most popular baskets on the market. A basket bag setup can be perfect for commuting, day rides, and even bikepacking, and we’re glad to see more Canadian-made options available.
The HMPL Basket Bag comes in three sizes that fit the smallish Wald 137, massive Wald 139, and Pelago Rasket. It has a simple roll-top closure for endless expansion, an adjustable G-hook attachment point and closure system that makes for quick installation and removal, and two hidden handles that let you use it as a tote when it’s off the bike.
The bags have a padded bottom and side panels, internal flat organizer pockets, and are sized to fit the exact dimensions of the associated basket, so HMPL recommends referring to the basket manufacturers’ websites for basket sizing if you’re unsure. The weight of the basket bag ranges between 450 grams and 550 grams, depending on the size.
The Basket Bag is available for pre-order as of today and is priced as follows: Wald 137 ($175 CAD), Wald 139 ($185 CAD), and Pelago Rasket ($180 CAD). Check them out at HMPL.ca.
