Thoroughly tested on Vancouver’s North Shore to ensure they don’t budge, the new HMPL Mini Mountain Panniers use a simple roll-top closure and a versatile webbing attachment system. Pre-orders open today, and you can learn more about them here…
HMPL in Vancouver, British Columbia, is opening pre-orders today for their diminutive new panniers, the HMPL Mini Mountain Panniers. Designed with no frills or unnecessary features, the Mini Mountain Panniers have a single storage area accessed via a roll-top closure that’s secured using a single webbing strap and G-hook buckle. The rack side of the panniers use a Molle-style webbing attachment system, allowing for multiple strap and position options. According to HMPL, they’re designed to work well with virtually any rear rack, including the Tumbleweed T Rack and ultra-minimal Mica Rat Tail.
HMPL includes three Voile-style Nano straps, and the pannier has a removable plastic stiffener for added structure. Otherwise, the design is kept very minimal. Each pannier weighs 470 grams (16.5 ounces), can hold 8 to 13 liters, and measures out to 10 x 5 x 9-16″ (WxDxH).
Pre-orders open today at 10 a.m. PST, and the panniers are available individually ($150 CAD) or as a pair ($275 CAD). There are 16 color/fabric choices, and all pre-orders are expected to be delivered by the end of the month. The pre-order window ends on February 15th.
