Teased at Sea Otter this spring, Hudski’s new SRAM Dualist build kit option is more affordable but just as capable. Find details on the new builds and the fresh Dualist colors they’re offering here…
Released last year, the Hudski Dualist nailed the sweet spot between an approachable gravel bike and a light-duty mountain bike, with a long wheelbase, rigid alloy frame, modern MTB specs, big tire clearance, and a smart build. For these reasons and more, it earned a top spot in our 2025 Bikepacking Gear of the Year Awards.
Although no frame specs or features have changed, Hudski has expanded the Dualist lineup with a new budget-friendly SRAM Dualist complete build option in three new colors, plus two new frameset colors, all teased at Sea Otter earlier this year. The new $2,200 SRAM Dualist build features a mix of SRAM NX and SX components, a TransX dropper post, and tubeless-ready Vittoria Mezcal 29 x 2.35” tires. Dig into the complete build kit below.

The SRAM Dualist build is available in three fresh colors: Off-White, Brown, and Teal. And the frameset (frame + fork) is available in two new colors: Lemon Lime and Raw Finish. The loud Tricolor-fade version I tested (and still ride daily) is only available in size small, and the higher-end Shimano SLX Dualist builds are still available in all three colors (Eggplant, Nevada, and Rococo Gold) and all sizes.
Everything else that makes the Dualist so functional remains unchanged, including three-pack mounts on the fork legs, front/rear rack mounts, ample frame bosses, a spacious main triangle, and comfortable yet capable all-terrain, all-day geometry. The new SRAM Dualist is priced at $2,200, compared to the $2,700 SLX build, and the new framesets cost $1,600 USD.
