Following up on Chris Burkard, Angus Morton, and Rebecca Rusch’s amazing winter crossing of Iceland last year (find our interview with the trio linked in the Related Content grid at the bottom of this post), Chris is working on a docudrama film that pulls back the curtain on another less visible aspect of the journey.

I Am Here will tell the story of how champion cyclist and recovering alcoholic Angus Morton’s challenge was only just beginning after the successful completion of their ride across Iceland. As described on the film’s Kickstarter campaign, “Spiraling and alone, Angus relapsed in a hard and heavy way, tragically and ironically on the heels of one of his greatest athletic victories. Far from home, with no cavalry en route, it would now be up to him to find the strength to pull himself back together.” Watch the trailer below:

In order to finish shooting the film and get it into production, Chris and his team are looking to raise $180,000 through a new crowdfunding campaign. There are a number of different backer levels at which individuals and brands can get involved, and you can learn more and support the project over on Kickstarter.
