New Industry Nine Whisp XC Wheels

Following their official merger last year, We Are One and Industry Nine have launched a wheelset that harnesses the best of both companies’ expertise. The new Industry Nine Whisp XC wheels are built around We Are One’s carbon Convergence rims and Industry Nine’s Solix hub platform, offering 605 points of engagement in a light package the company says is ideal for long days in the saddle.

Offered in three complete options, the wheelsets weigh 1,368 grams with the Solix System hub and spokes, 1,404 grams with Solix hubs and J-bend spokes, and 1,501 grams with the Industry Nine 1/1 hubs and J-bend spokes. The first two wheelsets have a point of engagement every .59 degrees of rotation, and the 1/1 system has one every 4 degrees.

The wheels also use their ZRT composite film at the spoke bed, which the brand claims keeps nipple beds locked in and maintains consistent spoke tension. Every complete build in the Whisp line uses the same We Are One Convergence rim and is hand-built in Asheville, North Carolina. The Whisp XC wheels start at $1,549 and are available in a wide range of color and spoke options.
