Steve Domahidy is a 25-year bike industry veteran, engineer, and one of the original founders of Niner Bikes. After branching out on his own, Steve produced several limited runs of steel and titanium mountain bikes for his own sake under the name Domahidy Designs, and in 2016, he decided to rebrand the company under the more distinctive and memorable name, Viral Bikes. He has since released several hardtails under the Viral name, all using the Pinion gearbox. In this interview, Neil chats with Steve about the history of the brand, and more importantly, why he decided to go all in with the Pinion gearbox.
