Camp Snap makes inexpensive point-and-shoot digital cameras that offer the look and feel of disposable film cameras. The small California brand just released a new and improved version of their flagship screen-free camera. Learn more about the Camp Snap Version 103 here…

Camp Snap’s little low-resolution, screen-free digital cameras have become quite a hit among bikepackers and other outdoor enthusiasts for their compact size, ease of use, and nostalgic design and output. They have an 8-megapixel resolution, a built-in LED flash, are USB-C rechargeable, and can take around 500 photos on a single charge. The internal storage holds around 2,000 photos at once. Camp Snap claims their cameras are durable and drop-proof, though given their all-plastic design, we’d be curious to confirm that for ourselves.

Just released, the updated Camp Snap Version 103 boasts faster photo capture, side hooks that can attach to a lanyard, the ability to set the time and date, and improved photo quality. Based on the samples the brand provided on Instagram, it looks like the image quality is significantly better than that of the original. Camp Snap is stocking the new model in a vibrant array of nine colors, and they’re all priced at $65. If you have experience with one, we’d love to hear your impressions and see photo samples in the Conversation below.
