Cycles Cattin from Grenoble, France, just released a new go-anywhere travel bike that builds on their more than 40 years of touring experience. Featuring a steel frameset, V-brakes, and room for 2.2″ tires, the Cycles Cattin ADN is built to be simple, comfortable, and reliable. Learn more here…

Grenoble’s Cycles Cattin has been building bikes made for adventure since 1982, and their latest model harnesses that travel DNA (ADN in French) to create a go-anywhere, do-anything platform that’s designed to carry riders wherever their imaginations can take them. The ADN name is also a nod to French adventurer Alexandra David-Néel, who embodies the intrepid spirt of their latest platform.

As a “travel-proof bike,” every step in the design process for the Cycles Cattin ADN adhered to its guiding principles, which include strength, reliability, repairability, comfort, and simplicity. The frame and fork are made from burly Dedacciai Zero Uno steel tubes that can be mended without having to end your trip. The frame uses common standards such as a 1 1/8″ headset, BSA bottom bracket, and 100/135mm quick-release axles to help riders source spares wherever things go wrong. It also features ultra-simple V-brakes, and the frame and fork can clear 2″ tires with fenders or 2.2″ rubber without. The Small and Medium sizes sport good old-fashioned 26″ wheels, and the Large and Extra Large sizes roll on 27.5″ wheels.

The ADN has an eccentric bottom bracket and is built to work equally well with derailleurs or a Rohloff drivetrain. A built-in portage handle helps make tough hike-a-bikes a little easier. It features two sets of three-pack mounts and one standard bottle mount on the main triangle, eyelets for front and rear racks, fender and kickstand mounts, and fully external cable routing. Framesets receive an anti-corrosion treatment for added peace of mind.
