Jesse Smith, owner of The Bicycle Station in Columbus, Indiana, is one of 250 riders participating in this year’s DOOM event, starting and ending in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He turned to Zach Smith at South City Stitchworks for some fresh custom bags for the Allied BC40 he’ll be riding and took the opportunity to visit Zach in person for a little shop visit and interview.

The 30-minute video he put together from his visit introduces South City Stitchworks, the fabrics they use, Zach’s process, and how a custom set of bags is made. Jesse ends the video with a walkthrough of his bike and the parts he’s relying on for his 325+ mile ride through the Ouachita Mountains.
