The first woman and first overall singlespeeder at this year’s Utah Mixed Epic was none other than Katie Strempke, who crushed the 638-mile route in just 5 days, 5 hours, and 24 minutes. Katie put together a 30-minute video of footage captured during her ride, which you can watch here…

Last month, 27 riders lined up in Moab, Utah, with plans to tackle the 638-mile Utah Mixed Epic. The route traverses the deserts, canyons, and mountain ranges of the southeast portion of the state, serving up over 53,000 feet of elevation gain before returning back to Moab. There were only 11 finishers this year, and among those was our friend Katie Strempke, the first woman to complete the route and the fastest overall singlespeeder. She finished in 5 days, 5 hours, and 24 minutes, pushing through the night, being kept up by animals in the dark, and discovering just how much cheese a human can consume in a day. Watch the video Katie put together from her ride below.
