In our latest YouTube video, we catch up with 10-time Tour de France finisher Laurens Ten Dam after his first bikepacking event, the Further Race…

In Neil’s latest interview, he caught up with accomplished professional road cyclist, Laurens Ten Dam. Laurens recently retired in 2019 after a 22-year road career that included 10 Tour de France finishes, highlighted by a 9th place finish in 2014.

Recently, Laurens has turned his focus to gravel racing, but with COVID-19 canceling most races this year, he made room for the second annual bikepacking event, Further. Laurens performed quite well, taking third in his first bikepacking event behind two-time Trans Continental winner James Mark Hayden and retired professional road cyclist Christian Meier. While retired, it seems the Dutchman is busier than ever, with his newly launched clothing brand, a gravel race series, a podcast, and his role as Editor-in-Chief of Bicycling NL.
