Following a wildly successful first edition of the MADE Handmade Bike Show in Portland last year, the organizers just announced that they’re expanding the event to Australia this June. Find details and dates here…

The inaugural edition of MADE took the cycling world by storm last August, bringing together an array of builders and brands for a massive show that highlighted many of the incredibly talented builders and innovative small brands we’re lucky to have in our community. On the heels of that success, the MADE organizers just announced an Australian version of the handmade bike show, which is set take place in Melbourne this June.

Created as a collaboration between Andy White of FYXO and the team at ECHOS Communications, MADE Australia will be held in conjunction with the 17th annual Melburn Roobaix at the Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC) on June 28th and 29th, 2024. Just like it’s US counterpart, it’ll bring together builders, brands, media, and bike lovers from across the cycling spectrum. The show will be open to the public and will have private media hours for shooting bikes, interviewing builders, and networking.

Introducing the new event and partnership, ECHOS VP Billy Sinkford said, “Andy’s passion for telling the story of the custom bike world through words and images has kept us close over the years, and we are thrilled to partner with FYXO to produce MADE Australia. Our mission remains the same: to elevate, inspire, and highlight the global handmade community. With Andy’s deep relationships and event experience, MADE Australia will demonstrate the global reach of this vibrant community.”

Registration will open next month, and renowned brands such as Prova, Baum, The Lost Workshop, Velo Craft, Trinity MTB, and Partington Wheels have already expressed interest or committed to attending, and we expect to see 50+ exhibitors at the show. Tickets for attendees will be available later this year, and plans for the 2025 edition of the Australian show in Adelaide are already underway.
