Designed around a 130mm travel fork, clearance for 29 x 2.6″ tires, and six frame sizes, the new Manzanita Manifesto is founder Nick Jensen’s take on a hardtail for maximum fun. Get to know it here…
Quietly released alongside the Whippet gravel bike earlier this year, the Manzanita Manifesto is the second stock model in the Manzanita lineup. Owned and operated by Nick Jensen, Manzanita Cycles started offering stock models with readymade geometry and specs that allow for quicker turnaround time and a more streamlined buying experience for the customer. Everyone was so busy talking about the Whippet that the Manifesto went almost entirely unnoticed.

The Manzanita Manifesto is built around a Velospec Pro front triangle and custom-bent 4130 Chromoly steel chainstays and seatstays. The headtube and dropouts are from Paragon Machine Works. It’s constructed around a 130mm travel fork, 29″ wheels, and plays nicely with 2.4″ tires but has room for 2.6″ rubber. According to Nick, “The geometry is just the right amount of progressive, giving you confidence on the steeps while still feeling agile when it’s play time.”
The Manifesto features externally routed cables, dropper post routing, two standard bottle bosses with external bosses on the seat tube that don’t interfere with dropper posts, and a custom 3D-printed housing guide on the underside of the downtube that protects the frame and cables from damage. It features boost hub spacing, a SRAM UDH rear dropout, a 31.6mm seatpost, and a 73mm BSA threaded bottom bracket. It’s offered in six frame sizes, which should fit riders from 5’6″ right up to 6’4″ tall, according to Manzanita’s sizing chart.
