Marin Bikes just announced an entirely refreshed range of Rift Zone full-suspension mountain bikes, which includes a couple of more wallet-friendly offerings. Learn more about the updated four-model Marin Rift Zone line here…
Marin unveiled four updated models of their best-selling Rift Zone full-suspension mountain bikes this morning, which they call their take on the ultimate do-it-all trail bike for everything from all-day epics, to local shred laps, to big mountain adventures. All models are built around their Series 3 aluminum MultiTrac frames and feature 140 or 150mm of front suspension and 130mm of rear suspension. The updated Rift Zones also have contemporary trail geometry, rattle-free internal cable routing with braze-in guides, SRAM T-type compatibility, and rugged chainstay and seatstay protection.

New in this latest launch is the models going to the “growing wheel size” strategy, with the extra small Rift Zone 1 and all other small frames rolling exclusively on 27.5″ wheels, medium frames offering riders’ choice of 27.5″ or 29″ wheels, and large and extra-large frames specced with 29″ wheels only. The big news is that the economical Rift Zone 1 model comes with a dropper post and remote lever, which Marin says is a first at this level. Find a geometry chart and a quick overview of all four models below.
