The latest collaboration between UK-based artist Get Wild Matty and the bag makers at Wizard Works is a super limited set of hand-embroidered Lil Presto barrel bags. The collection includes 10 of each design, all of which are hand embroidered in York and built by hand in London from a modern dry waxed canvas that’s sustainably manufactured in Rochdale.
Describing the material and why they chose it, Wizard Works said, “The material chosen for this project is a dry wax canvas produced by British Milleraine. One of the original wax canvas mills, British Milleraine have been making wax canvas in the UK since 1880. The waxed canvas used is registered with the better cotton initiative and is dyed and finished at their UK facility, under stringent environmental and quality standards. There is zero waste and water use in the wax process and the fabric is free from fluorinated carbons often found in water repellent fabrics.”
Each Lil Presto includes two Voile Nano straps for a rock solid attachment, has a daisy chain on the front of the bag for lights or dangles, and cord lock straps for attaching to the head tube of the bike. The main pocket is accessed via a water-resistant YKK Aquaguard zipper, and there are two smaller side pockets for bar wrappers, tiny tools, or as Wizard Works suggests, ninja stars.
