The Maxxis Receptor is an all-new semi-slick tire that’s designed for riders who are looking to take their rides beyond pavement. Find a look at the Receptor in 700C x 40mm and 650B x 47mm sizes here…

Launched this morning, the Maxxis Receptor is an all-new tire that the brand says is for “riders who want to go the distance on pavement as well as off the beaten path.” Available in 700C x 40mm and 650B x 47mm sizes, the Receptor has a 120 TPI tubeless-ready casing that uses a dual-compound construction designed to strike a balance between rolling resistance and traction, ideal for cyclists who ride mostly smooth terrain but want to occasionally veer off onto gravel segments. A Maxxis EXO Protection layer—borrowed from their mountain bike line—is built into the sidewalls to offer added defense against abrasions.
