The Mid South Wildfire Relief Fund is a direct-aid effort to help those affected by the ongoing wildfires in central and northeast Oklahoma. For more on how you can help those suffering from this unexpected disaster, read on…

Mid South 2025 kicked off this Thursday with its iconic denim shakeout ride and relatively new running races taking place the following day. Though the team knew there would be some rough-and-tumble Oklahoma winds to contend with, what took shape was far beyond what they ever could have imagined. With extremely high sustained gusts, wildfires ripped across the Midwest, eventually damaging and consuming towns, homes, and businesses directly adjacent to Stillwater, Oklahoma. While the Mid South team was intent on holding onto the event for as long as they could, it became apparent late last night that any event would be a burden to a city now dealing with the consequences of a substantial natural disaster. Early this morning, Bobby Wintle and his team decided to call off Mid South 2025.

In response, the Mid South Wildfire Relief Fund has been set up to help those in their community who have been affected by this tragedy. You can donate here, and 100% of all funds collected will go to Stillwater families and agencies involved with wildfire recovery.

From everyone here at BIKEPACKING.com, we hope for a safe return for all the riders and runners who traveled to Stillwater for the event and send our thoughts and best wishes to those whose lives have been inextricably changed by these fires.
