If you’re the type of person who leaves home on rides or trips without any sort of first aid kit, Neutron Components’ new lightweight kit might be for you. New Zealand-based Neutron Components, makers of the Oh Sh!t Kit (O.S.K.) bar-end tool kit, just released an ultralight, super portable first aid kit for cyclists, and it looks like it could make a good option for bikepacking.
The Ultralight First Aid Kit was developed with the help of MTB paramedics to offer all of the essentials, packed into a neoprene pouch that’s about the size of a wallet. What makes the kit unique is its elasticized strap that allows the kit to be strapped directly onto your bike. They’ve also included a self-adhesive hook and loop strap for even more flexibility and security.
Here’s what’s inside:
- 1x small dressing
- 1x medium dressing
- 2m duct tape
- 2x alcohol swabs
- 1x CPR barrier shield
- 2x plasters
- 5x 3M steri-strips
- 2x nitrile gloves
- 1x rip-proof quick-reference guide
- 1x neoprene pouch
- 1x hook & loop elasticated mount strap
- 1x self-adhesive hook & loop mount pad
The kit’s dimensions are 100x70x20mm and it weighs just 55 grams. It’s offered in a red or black neoprene pouch and costs $35 NZD (~$25 USD). Head to NeutronComponents.com to get yours.
