The new lineup of BMC URS gravel bikes includes four models, all with unique features, clearance for 47mm tires, and geometry that BMC claims is optimized for a wide range of conditions. Learn more about the lineup and take a closer look at the BMC URS 01 LT here…
The new BMC URS (Unrestricted) gravel bike lineup is made up of four distinct models, each with its own unique features and specs. Each model features BMC’s Gravel Fit geometry, based around a long reach and a short stem for responsive handling, a lower bottom bracket for stability, and a 69.5° head tube angle for confident descending. Each BMC URS model has integrated downtube storage, clearance for 47mm tires, a UDH (universal derailleur hanger), as well as three-pack fork mounts, fender, and rack mounts. The BMC URS is dropper post compatible and now comes in five sizes (XS-XL) to fit a wider range of riders.

The BMC URS lineup includes the URS, URS 01, URS 01 LT, and the pedal-assist URS LT AMP. The three URS 01 models are the most feature-rich, with integrated suspension in the seat stays, fork, and stem. The base URS model has no suspension but still has all of the mounts, downtube storage, molded frame protection, and a wide-range 1x drivetrain.
BMC URS 01 LT
The BMC URS 01 LT caught our eye as the most exciting of the bunch with the addition of the MTT (MicroTravel Technology) Suspension Fork, providing 20mm of integrated and customizable suspension. Like the URS 01 and URS LT AMP, it also features MTT Seatstays for 10mm of additional suspension with an integrated cargo strap, and all 01 models also come equipped with an ICS MTT Stem, which uses Redshift’s ShockStop technology for a washboard-eating suspension stem with up to 20mm of travel.
The BMC URS 01 family uses a 68mm press-fit bottom bracket, a D-shaped seat post but BMC has an adapter to accept 27.5mm dropper posts, and the frame is compatible with both mechanical and wireless drivetrains. For those looking to run the largest possible tires, it’s also compatible with 650b x 50mm tires, and the MTT fork can handle up to 650b x 52mm rubber.
