Last year, Daysaver announced a 39 gram multitool that features nine functions in a small and very lightweight package. Today, they unveiled the Coworking5, an extension designed to work with the multi-tool that offers five more tools: a chain breaker, tire lever, valve tool, spoke wrench, and chain link holder. Read on for details.
The original Daysaver is a nice little bit-driver multitool on its own, but according to the company, customers asked for an integrated chain breaker and a tire lever to complete the toolset. The Coworking5 is the result. The glass-fiber reinforced polyamide tire lever is designed to hold the tool, as well as an all-new chain breaker that’s compatible with 9 to 12-speed chains.
Combined, the Coworking5 and the Daysaver Multitool have a total of 14 functions and weigh 70 grams. Right now, the Daysaver Coworking5 is a prototype, but the company is launching a Kickstarter on October 12th here, so bookmark it if you’re interested in funding this tool and getting one of your own. The early bird pricing will be about 25 Swiss Francs (about $26 USD). In addition, they’re also launching the new Mount Cradle3 shown above, which is a strap and cradle for the full toolset.
