Taking design cues from their Hummingbird hardtail, the new Neuhaus NOVA32 is a 32-inch mountain bike built around a 4130 steel frame, a carbon fork, and Maxxis Aspen 32 x 2.4″ tires. Frames are available to purchase now, but stock is limited. Learn more here…
Last summer, we shared a video from Neuhaus explaining the design challenges and realities of 32-inch bicycles. They must have liked what they saw during the subsequent testing, because as of today, Neuhaus has officially entered the 32-inch game.
The new Neuhaus NOVA32 is a 32-inch rigid mountain bike that uses the same tubeset and design as the Hummingbird hardtail, but it’s been tweaked to accommodate larger-diameter 32-inch wheels. It’s built around a quad-butted, heat-treated 4130 steel frame, boost hub spacing, and a carbon fork. According to Neuhaus, it’s one of the first production 32-inch bikes you can actually buy. Frames are in stock and ready to ship now.
The NOVA32 uses a sliding UDH-compatible rear dropout, external cable routing, and a threaded BSA 73mm bottom bracket. It’s rigid specific, designed around a 490 axle-to-crown fork, and the frame and fork have clearance for 32 x 2.2-2.4″ tires. Neuhaus worked with their tubing supplier to offer optimized butt lengths and size-specific tubing, and they describe the final result as “springy and perfect for comfortably eating away big miles.” It’s only available in three sizes: M/L, L, and XL. All sizes have a 67° head tube angle, 75° seat tube angle, a 95mm bottom bracket drop, and 450–460mm chainstays when running 32 x 2.4″ tires.
