Launched today, the new WTB Macro is a fast-rolling mountain bike tire designed for modern XC races and riding your local trails. Find everything you need to know about it here…

WTB believes cross-country riding shouldn’t be categorized by rigid posts and pinner tires, and that their new Macro tire pushes those boundaries. The WTB Macro tire has a minimal, fast-rolling tread pattern, medium profile side knobs, and is currently only available in one size: 29 x 2.4″.

The WTB Macro uses SG sidewall protection, prioritizing sidewall protection and increasing air retention in high-pressure tires. It has an extra layer of protection on exposed areas of the tire and relies on a light and supple 120 TPI casing designed for speed. At first glance, it looks like the Macro could make a good ultra-endurance or all-terrain bikepacking tire if it is as durable as they claim.
